Engine 93 would like to extend a huge congratulations to Firefighter Matt Evans, now of the Avoca Fire Department. Matt has been hired full time with Loudoun County Virginia as a Firefighter. Firefighter Evans started with Engine 93 in 2002 and was a active firefighter until 2012, where he served as Captain for 1 year. Matt also served on our Swift Water Rescue team for the duration of his membership. In 2007, Matt and his brother Johnathan received the Patrick Comer award for their heroic efforts while rescuing residences from their homes on Sibley Ave. in Old Forge during flooding. Engine 93 wishes Matt a safe and successful career, with the best of luck to him and his bride-to-be!
